Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Verbola ("we", "us") covering the Verbola mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them.
1. The Service
Verbola is a study tool for IELTS and TOEFL preparation: study plans, practice content, AI-generated feedback on writing and speaking, vocabulary training and progress tracking. We continuously improve the Service and may add, change or retire features.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the Service. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old. One account per person; the same account works in the app and on this website.
3. Subscriptions and trials
The core planning and tracking features are free. Verbola Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription purchased inside the mobile app through Apple's App Store or Google Play, in monthly, 6-month or yearly terms. New subscribers get a 3-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Prices are set per region by the stores and shown in the app before you subscribe. Billing, refunds and trials are governed by the store you purchased through.
4. AI feedback is practice guidance, not an official score
AI-generated scores, corrections and model answers are estimates designed to help you practice. They are not official IELTS or TOEFL results and do not guarantee any outcome on a real exam. Only the official exam bodies issue real scores.
5. Your content
Essays you submit and recordings you make remain yours. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the Service: storing your submissions, processing them with our AI providers to generate your feedback, and showing you your history. Do not submit content that is unlawful or that you have no right to use.
6. Acceptable use
Do not abuse the Service: no attempts to break authentication or rate limits, no scraping or reselling of content, no reverse engineering except where the law permits it, and no use of the Service to violate exam rules or applicable law.
7. Termination and deletion
You can stop using the Service anytime and delete your account in the app or on this website; deletion takes effect after a 14-day grace period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service, and we may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use after they take effect means you accept them.
